The story “Woman in Purple” shows a crueler side of Sarajevo in the post-war period, but it does not glamorize it. Despite showing the darker aspects of the city, the script reveals both the humor and the humanity of its characters. Importantly, it does not end on a dark note, but instead illustrates the human ability to change, and the need to ensure that the past does not keep us chained in a state of amnesia and social unawareness. – Igor Drljaca
